About the role

The Production Planner / Stores Officer manages inventory control, production line kitting, and work order scheduling at PAX-1. This role ensures smooth material movement between Warehousing, Procurement, Quality Inspection, and Assembly lines to maximize production throughput.

This is a full-time, early to mid-level role in Production Control & Inventory Logistics, on-site at PAX-1 in Abuja and reporting to the Head of Manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain daily and weekly manufacturing schedules based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and component availability.
  • Manage store inventory operations including material receiving, bin allocation, stock tracking, and cycle counts.
  • Execute Bill of Materials (BOM) kitting—preparing complete, organized component kits for technicians prior to scheduled assembly runs.
  • Monitor component burn rates, track slow-moving or missing parts, and issue reorder alerts to Procurement in advance.
  • Maintain material movement logs between Stores, Quarantine/Inspection, and active assembly stations using internal software and MS Excel.
  • Enforce strict inventory security, storage environment conditions (temperature/humidity for composites and batteries), and FIFO principles.
  • Analyze workflow bottlenecks and collaborate with technicians to streamline material staging on the shop floor.

What we are looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or warehouse control in a manufacturing setting.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, dynamic tables, data lookup, inventory tracking sheets) and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices (FIFO, safety stock, cycle counting, BOM structures).
  • Excellent organization, time management, and inter-departmental communication skills.
  • OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

How we hire

  1. Intro call with the hiring team — what you have built, what you want to build next.
  2. Technical conversation with the engineers or operators you would work alongside.
  3. A practical exercise drawn from real work, scoped to a few hours.
  4. Final conversation with a founder on mission, ownership and how we operate.
