Terra Industries Wins $1 Million Contract to Protect Anka Metals’ Jema’a Resource Project

Terra Industries has been awarded a $1 million phase one contract by Anka Metals to provide security for the Jema’a Resource Project in Kaduna, Nigeria.
The Jema’a Resource Project is one of Nigeria’s most significant mineral assets, covering a multi-metallic deposit of gold, lithium, copper and nickel at Gidan Waya. In July, the project and the Kaduna Mining Development Company signed agreements with the Africa Finance Corporation under a $500 million framework to finance and develop mining assets across the state.
Securing these sites is a priority as development moves forward. This contract is the first under a partnership between Terra Industries and Anka Metals covering mining security. Terra will provide autonomous surveillance and site protection for the project.
Mining, oil and power operators across Africa run critical assets in places where security coverage is thin and response times are long. Terra’s commercial division builds surveillance and deterrence systems for those sites using the same autonomous stack the company supplies to defense customers.
